Panic spread near the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Hockey Stadium on Sunday when a human torso was discovered inside a shopping bag in the locality. The human body part was found in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 5 near the post office and the hockey stadium.
Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot and called the Crime Scene Unit to collect forensic evidence. The recovered torso was later shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for legal formalities and further examination.
Police said unidentified suspects had dumped the human torso at the location before fleeing. They added that they had launched an investigation and were reviewing CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to identify the suspects.
