MINGORA: Three persons, including a woman, were killed when two parties exchanged fire over a property dispute in the Mian Baba area near Saidu Sharif on Sunday.
Police officials said the incident occurred near Mian Baba graveyard, where the two groups opened fire over the property dispute. The deceased were identified as Bakhti Room, wife of Khadiur Rehman, and Ismail and Ehtishan, residents of Batoorha Mian Baba.
The bodies were shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital for post-mortem examination. Saidu Sharif police registered a case and launched a search for the suspects involved in the firing.
Meanwhile, a man was shot dead near Manglawar Bridge, while the attackers escaped.
Police identified the deceased as Umar Ali, son of Qadar, a resident of Oghaz, Kookarai. Police said the motive appeared to be a personal enmity, adding that a case had been registered and an investigation launched. Also, a 32-year-old man was electrocuted while working at a marble grinding site in the Asogay area of Kabal tehsil.
