Islamabad : In a firm continuation of its departmental accountability drive, the Islamabad Police has dismissed three officers from service following allegations of abuse of power and illegal detention.

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad Ali Waseem issued the dismissal orders for Sub-Inspector Muhammad Azeem, Constable Muhammad Bilal, and Constable Saad Imtiaz. The disciplinary action was initiated after a citizen filed a complaint accusing the officers of unlawfully detaining him and his father.

A formal departmental inquiry subsequently confirmed the allegations, finding the three officials guilty of exceeding their authority and holding citizens in illegal custody.
