LAHORE: Secretary Sports Punjab Fazal-ur-Rehman chaired an important meeting of the Departmental Development Sub-Committee (DDSC) at Punjab Stadium to review the preparations for the South Asian Games and the development of sports infrastructure across the province.
Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, Director Admin Abid Shaukat, Additional Secretary Shabbir Hussain Cheema, Director Youth Affairs M. Fahad, along with senior officials from the Planning & Development and Finance Departments attended the meeting.
The meeting undertook a comprehensive review of the arrangements for the South Asian Games and approved several key decisions regarding the rehabilitation and modernization of sports facilities in Punjab. It was decided that extensive renovation and upgradation work would be carried out at various venues to bring them at par with international standards.
