PESHAWAR: Two women have been elected unopposed as office-bearers of the Awami National Party-United States of America (ANP-USA) and the Khudai Khidmatgar Organization of the party.
According to a press release issued on Friday by the ANP-USA Secretary Information Tauseefur Rehman Mohammadzai, Tasleem Bibi was elected Vice President Women of ANP-USA against the vacant post, while Rehana Makeen Khan was elected Deputy Salar Women of the Khudai Khidmatgar Organization USA.
The results were announced by Taj Akbar Khan, chairman of the Election Committee, after a meeting held at the residence of Bahadar Shah Khan in Queens, New York.Committee members Bahadar Shah Khan and Abdullah Bashir were also present. The chairman expressed hope that the newly elected office-bearers would continue to work for the welfare of the people and play an active role in strengthening the party and the community at large.
The committee congratulated both office-bearers and assured them of its full support.ANP-USA President Dr Bashir Mohammad, Senior Vice President Gohar Ali, General Secretary Shahid Iqbal, Information Secretary Tauseef ur Rehman Mohammadzai and KKO USA Salar Javed Khan also congratulated the newly elected office-bearers.
