Giving details of September’s performance, the finance adviser said STS collection reached Rs4.650 billion during the month, registering a 35 per cent increase compared to September last year.
In contrast, IDC collection declined by 82 per cent in September to Rs157 million. According to the figures, the closure of the Afghan border resulted in a cumulative revenue shortfall of Rs1.785 billion under the IDC head during the first three months of the current financial year.
Despite the decline in IDC receipts, the increase in Sales Tax on Services enabled KPRA to maintain five per cent growth in its combined quarterly collection compared with the corresponding period of the previous financial year.
