PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Friday launched the e-Fard Portal and Digital Public Feedback System, introducing new digital mechanisms aimed at making land record services more accessible, transparent and efficient.

Speaking on the occasion, the chief minister said the digital reforms are aimed at making land-related services more accessible, transparent, efficient and citizen-centric.Citizens will no longer need to make repeated visits to revenue offices to obtain a fard and will be able to access the service either from their homes or through a nearby service centre.

He said the digitisation of land records was a critical requirement for modernising public service delivery and would improve the speed, transparency and convenience of revenue services. The government, he added, was leveraging digital technology to ensure simpler, more transparent and responsive public services.

The chief minister was told that the e-Fard Portal would enable citizens to obtain fard through a simple, secure and automated process. Three channels will be available for accessing the service: NADRA e-Sahulat Centres, the official website’s self-service portal, and the Dastak App.

Officials said that only users verified biometrically through NADRA would be able to download an e-Fard. The prescribed fee would be deposited electronically into the government treasury through 1LINK and easypaisa. Once the payment has been made, the fard will remain securely available in the citizen’s account and can be downloaded again whenever required. The QR code embedded in the fard will also enable online verification against the central land record.

The chief minister said the digital reforms would help reduce land-related complaints and strengthen transparency, accountability and public trust in the land record system. He appreciated the efforts of the officials involved in the rollout of the digital reforms and presented certificates of appreciation to those who contributed to the initiative.
