Sindh Senior Minister for Information and Transport Sharjeel Inam Memon has said timely completion of development projects is the top priority of the Sindh government.

In a statement issued on Friday, he said the Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) provincial government had launched more than 13,000 uplift schemes, of which more than 9,000 had been completed. In flood-affected areas, more than 80 per cent of the work on 724 kilometres of roads had been completed, he added.

Memon said expanding the public transport system was also among the government’s priorities, and millions of people had been provided with travel facilities through the Orange Line and Green Line Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) services.

He stated that construction work on various sections of the Yellow Line and Red Line BRT was progressing rapidly, and additional new EV buses and double-decker buses would arrive in Karachi soon.
