LAHORE:Lahore Traffic Police issued more than 10,000 challan tickets during September as part of its campaign against environmental pollution and smog.
According to the traffic police spokesperson, the smog crackdown increased by 215 per cent in September compared with August, while enforcement against smog increased by 1,149 per cent compared with January. General hold-ups at entry and exit points of the city and special checking of commercial vehicles are continuing. Relevant SPs and DSPs are supervising the operations.
