LAHORE:The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab has achieved a significant milestone in information security by securing the internationally recognised ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Information Security Management System (ISMS) Certification.
The certification was formally presented to Ombudsman Punjab Ayesha Hamid at a ceremony held at the Committee Room of the Office of the Ombudsman Punjab. The certification covers the head office and 39 regional offices of the Ombudsman Punjab across all districts of Punjab, making it the largest geographical scope for an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification achieved in Pakistan.
The certification signifies the establishment of a formal Information Security Management System based on risk assessment, internal audits and management review, marking a shift from a predominantly reactive approach to IT security towards a structured and systematic information security framework.
