LAHORE: PCB Director High Performance Aaqib Javed has outlined a comprehensive four-tier development system for Pakistan cricket, aimed at nurturing talent from school level to First-Class cricket. He announced this during a visit to the Under-17 Skills Development Camp in Faisalabad, where he met coaches and players.

Later talking media, Javed explained that Pakistan cricket now operates through four tiers: Under-15, Under-17, Under-19, and First-Class. He said the top 30 players from the Under-15 tournament would receive year-round specialized training in Sialkot. “Young players must have an understanding of technique, balance, and the core fundamentals of the game. We want them to grasp their technique from a young age,” he emphasized.

“The PCB plans to introduce Level-1 coaching and training courses for Under-15 and Under-17 players, ensuring they comprehend technical aspects and tactical clarity.” Javed stressed that psychology programs would be integrated early to align mind, body, and technique, while language courses would help overcome communication barriers.
