LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed gratitude over a successful operation against terrorists in Mastung. She paid tribute to the security forces for eliminating several terrorists, including a commander, during the operation.

She also welcomed the federal government’s relief package for people, saying that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leadership’s concern for the public amid difficult times is commendable. She thanked PMLN President Nawaz Sharif for his role in the relief package, saying that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif introduced the measure on his direction.

She noted that the rising trend in global oil prices was creating difficulties for people in developing countries. She said the increase in petroleum prices was affecting people across all segments of society worldwide. Despite the challenging economic situation, she termed the prime minister’s relief package a positive step aimed at relieving people.
