LAHORE: Young cyclist Sardar Salar Ahmed Sandhu, a student of Government College University Lahore, has officially launched a 1,000-kilometre solo cycling expedition from Lahore to Saran Valley, Mansehra (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa).
The initiative is being organised with the support of Director General Sports Punjab Muhammad Tariq Qureshi, who has extended full institutional backing to ensure the success of the journey.
Officers from the Youth Affairs and Sports Department Punjab have managed receptions for Salar Ahmed at designated checkpoints along the historic GT Road route. The Sports Department has provided administrative assistance and encouragement throughout the trek, reflecting Punjab’s commitment to promoting youth adventure and endurance sports.
