CDA holds first-aid awareness activity at Lake View Park

Islamabad : The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) Capital Emergency Services held a first-aid awareness and practical demonstration at Lake View Park on Saturday to mark World First Aid Day.

Rescue 1122 personnel, accompanied by emergency ambulances, interacted with visitors and families and demonstrated basic first-aid techniques for dealing with medical emergencies.

The rescuers briefed citizens on the importance of timely first aid, quick decision-making and appropriate action in the initial moments of an emergency, before professional medical assistance arrives. The practical demonstrations were aimed at familiarising citizens with basic first-aid measures and enabling them to respond appropriately while waiting for trained emergency responders. Officials said timely first aid and an effective initial response could help reduce the risk of further harm and, in some cases, prove crucial in saving lives.
