After successful musical concerts in Karachi and Hyderabad, Prem Nagar - The Land of Love is now bringing a unique sports and charity music event to Islamabad, where sports, music and humanity will come together for a noble purpose.

This Saturday (tomorrow), a unique, memorable event will take place in Islamabad. Special children from various public and private educational institutions, special education centres and social welfare organisations will participate in different sports, recreational activities and inclusive competitions designed to provide them with confidence, encouragement and an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities to the fullest.

When these children enter the sports arena, every spectator will be compelled to applaud their courage. Among them are children who cannot see but have voices that touch hearts; children without hands who create remarkable artwork with their feet; and children without legs who still have the determination to move forward in wheelchair races. Some are living with psychological challenges and have been left alone by those closest to them, yet they continue to face life hurdles bravely. The most inspiring moment of the Prem Nagar Charity Sports Event will come during the colourful awards ceremony, when the winning children take the stage to receive their prizes. Holding their trophies, these special children will become living symbols of determination, courage and perseverance. Their victories will show that physical limitations can never define a person’s true potential.

The closing ceremony will add another extraordinary dimension to the event. For the first time, Queen of Sufi Music Abida Parveen and Sufi Maestro Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, the brand ambassadors of Prem Nagar, will appear together on one stage for a live performance. Another special attraction for music lovers will be popular singer Abrar-ul-Haq, who will perform alongside Rahat Fateh Ali Khan and dedicate a song to the innocent children of Prem Nagar.

I believe that the presence of such legendary artists, who carry a genuine concern for humanity, alongside our welfare mission is itself a powerful message: if sports represent the courage of the body, music speaks to the soul. Sports teach teamwork, discipline and endurance, while music highlights love, peace, tolerance, brotherhood and humanity.

When these distinguished artists associated with Prem Nagar take the stage to honour and encourage special children for this noble cause, the moment will undoubtedly become a memorable chapter in my humanitarian mission.

Spread across 150 acres in the deserts of Tharparkar, Prem Nagar - The Land of Love is a sincere effort to establish a model welfare village where special children, orphans, vulnerable women, senior citizens, persons with disabilities and other deprived segments of society can access education, healthcare, rehabilitation, accommodation and skills-development opportunities. Yet such projects cannot be completed through dreams alone. They require substantial resources, cooperation and collective responsibility. This is precisely why I have brought sports and music together with humanitarian service.

I therefore look forward to welcoming the people of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and surrounding areas to the Pakistan Sports Complex on September 12, and to wholeheartedly applaud the special children participating in the sports competitions. A single clap, a smile or even a moment of attention can fill these innocent children with immense happiness and confidence. The remarkable achievements of these special children can inspire countless others struggling against difficult circumstances and too often left alone by society. I am quite confident that on September 12, courage on the sports ground, music on the stage and compassion in our hearts will become a powerful catalyst for positive social change.
