RAWALPINDI: Security forces have eliminated 11 terrorists belonging to an Indian proxy in two separate engagements in the Balochistan province.
On Sept 6-7, security forces conducted intelligence-based operations in Kharan and Washuk districts of Balochistan on reported presence of terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al-Hindustan and neutralised 11 terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. On Sept 6, terrorists attempted to establish a roadblock in Kharan and disrupt road traffic. The security forces promptly intercepted and engaged the terrorists and killed eight Indian-sponsored terrorists.
In another engagement on Sept 7, a planned intelligence-based operation was conducted in Washuk district on reports of presence of terrorists. During the conduct of operation, troops effectively busted a terrorist hideout and, after an intense fire exchange, sent to hell three terrorists. The security forces also recovered 2.9 tonnes of explosive which was being used for preparation of improvised explosive devices.
Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored terrorist found in the area, added the ISPR.
