Torghar people seek reopening of blocked roads

MANSEHRA: The people of Torghar have demanded that the deputy commissioner reopen arteries blocked across the district during the recent monsoon rains and floods.

“The Gatto and other arteries were blocked during the monsoon rains and could not be cleared for traffic even after weeks of landslides, resulting in students, government employees and other people facing difficulties travelling to reach their respective destinations,” Amirullah Khan, a local elder, said at a meeting with the deputy commissioner on Wednesday.

A group of locals met with Torghar Deputy Commissioner Dr Yasir Imran and apprised him of the different issues faced by the people of the district.
