Islamabad:In a major shift toward modern, technology-driven, and environmentally sustainable law enforcement, the Islamabad Police have expanded their operational fleet with a large consignment of new electric vehicles aimed at enhancing security and field operations across the federal capital.

The newly inducted vehicles were formally unveiled during a flag march that originated from D-Chowk, traversed key arterial roads across the city, and returned to conclude at the same landmark. The event marked a key milestone in the capital police’s strategy to update its surveillance capabilities, broaden its general patrolling coverage, and maintain a heightened presence around sensitive locations and main thoroughfares.

According to department officials, the transition to electric mobility is designed to optimize emergency response times, strengthen crime prevention efforts, and allow field officers to execute operations more swiftly. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to integrate modern, eco-friendly resources into daily policing tasks.
