LAHOREA 45-year-old lab technician was found dead at Jinnah Hospital, with police launching an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
Garden Town police collected evidence from the scene with the assistance of forensic experts and shifted the body to the morgue for a post-mortem examination.The deceased was identified as Shahid, who had been residing at the hospital and was performing his duties at the hospital laboratory.The officer said preliminary investigations indicated that the deceased was addicted to drugs.
The death of a woman in a rented flat in Islampura area has led to a murder investigation after police registered a case against her husband on the complaint of her father.Police had initially suspected the woman, identified as ArshamMaqsood, had died by suicide, based on the circumstances surrounding the incident.

An unidentified man was killed after being struck by a speeding car while crossing the road near Karol Ghati on the Ring Road.The incident was reported by a caller who said that the man was crossing the road when he was hit by a speeding car.
The victim sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene, Rescue 1122 officials said.Rescue personnel handed over the unidentified body to the police for further legal proceedings.
