NOWSHERA: A joint team of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Anti-Corruption Circle (ACC), Peshawar, and the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco)’s Surveillance and Inspection (S&I) conducted a raid on a private store near the Kabul River in Nowshera and recovered electrical equipment to have been allegedly stolen from the Pesco.
According to the FIA, the operation was carried out on the directives of the Deputy Director of FIA ACC Peshawar. During the raid, officials recovered a 100-kVA tampered transformer, ANT conductor and other electrical equipment from a private store being used by one Arif Khan. The officials said the recovered equipment appeared prima facie to be the property of Pesco. However, no credible documentary evidence was produced to establish ownership or lawful possession of the equipment, following which it was taken into custody.
