KOHAT: The Pakistan Army and police are conducting a joint operation against terrorists in the Wali area, District Police Officer (DPO) Mazhar Iqbal said on Sunday.
A young girl was martyred after a drone fired by the terrorists crashed in a populated area, the DPO said. “An operation against Fitna al-Khawarij is under way as part of a joint strategy adopted by the police and security forces,” he added.
During the operation, the Khawarij attempted to attack the security forces with a drone, he said. The drone sent by the Khawarij crashed near a populated area before reaching its target, resulting in the martyrdom of a young girl, the DPO added.
