ALPURI: The district judiciary in Shangla has organised a comprehensive training session on first aid and firefighting for its staff in compliance with the directions of the Peshawar High Court.
Instructors from Rescue 1122 Shangla imparted practical training to judicial staff on dealing with emergency situations, providing immediate first aid and taking initial measures to control fire incidents before the arrival of professional emergency teams.
The training was part of the district judiciary’s preventive safety measures aimed at enhancing staff preparedness and ensuring an effective response to emergencies within court premises. The importance of fire-safety preparedness has gained renewed attention following recent tragic fire incidents at public-sector hospitals, including the reported fire at PIMS Islamabad, where several infants reportedly lost their lives. The incident serves as a stark reminder that timely intervention, basic first-aid knowledge and proper fire-safety measures can play a vital role in preventing loss of life and minimizing damage during emergencies.
