Islamabad : The PIMS Retired Employees Welfare Association has offered its decades of institutional experience and professional expertise to assist the government in its efforts to reform and improve the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), says a press release.

In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, President of the association Dr. Ashok Kumar and Secretary General Haji Muhammad Hanif welcomed the government’s decision to undertake comprehensive reforms at PIMS following recent tragic incidents at the hospital.

The association said its members were willing to work with the Reform Committee constituted by the government, stressing that their long experience at the institution could help identify longstanding administrative and operational weaknesses and suggest practical solutions.

Many members of the association served PIMS from its formative years and were involved in developing its systems and services.

The association includes former executive directors, senior administrators and retired heads of key departments, including Nursing, Engineering and Housekeeping.
