Gizri acid attack suspect arrested

Police have arrested a suspect allegedly involved in an acid attack on a woman in Karachi’s Upper Gizri area.

Police said the suspect threw acid on the woman two days ago. He was arrested in Punjab and was being shifted to Karachi by a police team for further investigation.

The victim sustained burn injuries after the attack and was taken to a hospital. Police launched an investigation after the incident and traced the suspect who had subsequently fled Karachi and travelled to Punjab.
