PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Peshawar claimed to have killed four militants affiliated with Fitna al-Khawarij group during an operation in the Badaber area on Wednesday.
According to a CTD press release, intelligence reports had indicated the movement of armed militants in Badaber. A militant identified as Tahir alias Muawiya, a resident of Shahkas area of Khyber district, had reportedly been spotted moving around the area with other associates with the alleged intention of challenging the writ of the govt and carrying out terrorist activities.
Following the intelligence reports, special teams of CTD Peshawar were deployed along possible entry and exit routes. The CTD said three SMGs, a pistol, a hand grenade, three magazines, several rounds of ammunition and mobile phones etc.
