KARACHI: District Judge, Quetta, has suspended the notification issued by the Pakistan Sports Board concerning the Pakistan Squash Federation’s elections until September 12.
The judge suspended the notification while hearing a petition (151 CPC) filed by Abdul Khaliq who was represented by advocate Sher Ali Kakar. After reviewing the arguments of the parties and the available record, the court ordered a stay (till the next hearing on September 12th) on the implementation of the notification issued by the PSB.
Abdul Khaliq filed an appeal under section 96 of C.P.C against the impugned order decree dated 20.07.2026 passed by Senior Civil Judg-IV, Quetta in which he rejected the suit of appellant/plaintiff under Order VII Rule II of CPC.
Sher Ali Kakar argued that the impugned order decree is contrary to law, facts and against the all norms of justice. The counsel of appellant filed case laws 2023 MLD 659 (Balochistan) and 2026 MLD 27 (Balochistan) and relied upon same regarding his application under section 151 of CPC filed, along with main appeal i.e. an application for suspension of impugned order of the trial court.
In consideration of the submissions of the appellant’s counsel, the operations upon impunged order/decree dated 20.07.2026 passed by Senior Civil Judge-1V were suspended. It is pertinent to mention here that the election commission of PSB issued a notification (EC-PSB-PSF/2025) on November 17, 2025, stating: “In pursuance of the Election Schedule issued on 3rd November 2025, and subsequent to the issuance of the final candidate list on 14th November 2025, it is hereby notified that the following candidates have been elected unopposed to the Executive Committee of the Pakistan Squash Federation.
“Air Marshal Kazim Hammad (President), Air Vice Marshal Sohail Akber (Vice President), Dr. Riaz Khan (Vice President), and Sohail Khan (Vice President). These elections were conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution of PSB, Revised National Sports Policy 2005, the Sports Election Regulations Pakistan, and the Constitution of the Federation.”
