KARACHI: Pakistan will host one of its largest gatherings of technology and cybersecurity leadership on September 12, as the World CIO 200 Summit & Awards 2026 -- Pakistan Edition brings together more than 800 executives and business decision makers, alongside over 100 senior Pakistani technology leaders from overseas, said a statement on Wednesday.
The Karachi edition forms part of the World CIO 200 Roadshow 2026, a global platform connecting leaders across more than 60 countries, spanning Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and North America.
Powered by Global CIO Forum and organised in Pakistan by ITCN Asia, the summit will focus on enterprise technology, AI, cybersecurity and digital transformation. It marks the fourth consecutive year the platform has been hosted at national level in Pakistan.
The event will be inaugurated by Dr Erdal Ozkaya, President of the Global CISO Forum, and Zarrar Hasham Khan, Federal Secretary, Ministry of IT & Telecom. Syed Abdul Qadir, executive director of A.F. Ferguson & Co. (PwC Pakistan) and global adviser to the summit, said the event marks a significant step for Pakistan’s technology and cybersecurity leadership, bringing global best practices together with local expertise.
Discussions will centre on cyber resilience as banking, telecommunications and public sector ecosystems grow more dependent on digital infrastructure, alongside the evolving role of CIOs and CISOs in driving business transformation.
