Rawalpindi:Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Captain (r) Nadeem Nasir presented an appreciation plaque, shield to the Head of Department of Infectious Diseases (DID) of Rawalpindi Medical University at Holy Family Hospital Professor Dr. Muhammad Mujeeb Khan here on Tuesday for his services on the subject of clinical management of dengue patients and for providing dengue clinical management training to around 1500 medical professionals including doctors.
Appreciating the efforts of Dr. Mujeeb, the DHA states that under the supervision of the Head of DID, 817 of a total of 983 general practitioners, 83 per cent of the practitioners were given training with the main objective of in-time diagnosis and management of dengue patients.
Data collected by ‘The news’ has revealed that the DID at RMU trained around 1500 medical professionals including over 1,100 doctors and the initiative served a lot in reducing the morbidity and mortality associated with dengue fever.
