LAHORE:Punjab Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bokhari has said a fire broke out in a gynaecology ward of Lahore General Hospital (LGH) on Tuesday morning was brought under control by the hospital staff within a few minutes.
She said that no patient, attendant or member of the medical staff sustained any harm. Fire alert arrangements have been completed in all government hospitals. ‘Whatever Maryam Nawaz orders, implementation is visible,’ she said, adding that the timely control of the fire at General Hospital was a major proof of this.
Azma Bokhari said that CM herself is monitoring the rain situation in Rawalpindi. Wasa and other relevant institutions in Rawalpindi have all the necessary resources, and the water will be cleared within the next few hours.
