The high-level investigation committee probing the murder of young businessman Mir Raza Ali revisited the crime scene on Tuesday, investigative sources said.

Committee secretary SSP Ali Raza and other members of the team were present at the site, where they conducted a detailed examination of the area. The investigators again recorded the statement of the nursery caretaker and obtained important details regarding the circumstances surrounding the discovery of Mir Raza’s body.

The committee also closely examined the exact spot where the body had been found, along with surrounding areas, upper sections and other relevant locations at the crime scene. The latest visit came a day after the Sindh government announced the formation of a judicial commission to investigate Mir Raza’s death, sources said.

Mir Raza Ali was found dead near a nursery in Gulistan-e-Johar, Karachi, on July 29. The case was initially treated as a suspected suicide, but questions were later raised over the circumstances of his death and shortcomings in the initial medico-legal examination.
