ISLAMABAD: The Establishment Division has issued a fresh batch of orders regarding appointments, transfers, postings, retirements and extensions of deputation of officers serving in the federal bureaucracy.
Senior Member of the Federal Land Commission, Grade-22 officer Waqarul Hassan, will retire from government service on December 31, 2026. Joint Secretary of the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division Jameel AkhtarKhan will retire on August 27, 2026, while Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis Rana Muhammad Yousaf Khan and Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet Secretariat Feroz Khan will retire on September 24, 2027 and June 29, 2027, respectively.
The Establishment Division has also approved with immediate effect the request for premature retirement submitted by Section Officer of the Ministry of National Food Security Mahmood Ahmed Bhatti.
Meanwhile, Grade-20 Police Service of Pakistan officer Imran Yaqoob and Grade-19 officer Ghulam Murtaza have been directed to report to the Establishment Division from the Sindh government. The services of Grade-20 officer Hassan Asad Alvi have been placed at the disposal of the National Police Academy, Islamabad, while those of Grade-19 officer Abdul Haq Umarani have been placed at the disposal of the Balochistan government.
The services of Grade-18 officer Shahzada Umar Abbas Babar have been placed at the disposal of Islamabad Police, while those of Grade-18 Owais Ali Khan have been placed at the disposal of the Balochistan government.
The services of Pakistan Administrative Service Grade-18 officer Umar Waqar, currently an officer on special duty (OSD), have been placed at the disposal of the Punjab government.
In other postings and transfers, Deputy Secretary Mazhar Javed has been transferred from the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council Secretariat to the Power Division, while Deputy Secretary Javed Shah has been transferred from the Ministry of Climate Change to the Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division. Section Officer Muhammad Zohaib Jaffer has been transferred from the Finance Division to the Establishment Division.
Section Officer Sher Alam has been transferred from the Establishment Division to the Military Finance Wing of the Finance Division. Dr Waheed Ahmed has been appointed Deputy Director (Administration) at the Federal Directorate of Immunization, Islamabad.
According to separate orders, Uzair Ahmed Zai has been appointed Executive Director of the Trading Corporation of Pakistan, while Director General, Controller General of Accounts Office, Naseeruddin Sarwar, has been transferred and posted as Director General, Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Punjab Region. The Estab lishment Division has also approved a two-year extension in the posting of Deputy Secretary Sajid Ali in the Ministry of Industries and Production. The posting of Grade-19 officer Rameez Azam at the Presidency has been extended until September 16, 2027, while the deputation of Fatima Jinnah Medical University (FJMU) Lahore Treasurer Muhammad Tariq Saeed has been extended for two years with effect from August 3, 2026.
Taiba Ali has been posted as Section Officer in the Finance Division, while the deputation of Grade-17 Information Group officer Umair Khan, serving at the National Highway Authority (NHA), has been extended for one year. The Establishment Division has issued separate formal notifications covering the appointments, transfers, postings, retirements and extensions.
