MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission has issued the schedule for elections to eight reserved seats in the AJK Legislative Assembly.
According to the schedule, nomination papers for the reserved seats will be submitted on August 20, while the final list of candidates will be issued on August 23, the Election Commission said.
Polling for the eight reserved seats will be held in the Assembly on August 24.
The seats include five reserved for women and three for technocrats, for which voting will take place in the AJK Assembly.
The development follows the recently concluded AJK general elections, which were held in three phases. The PMLN emerged as the largest party, winning 25 seats, while the PPP secured 11 seats.
