RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Nawaz Sharif on Sunday chaired a meeting in Murree regarding reserved seats for women in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also attended the meeting, according to a statement issued by Senior Punjab Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb. Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan, Senator Anusha Rahman and other leaders also attended the meeting. AJK PMLN chapter president Shah Ghulam Qadir was also present.
Nawaz Sharif appreciated the performance of women leaders and party workers in the AJK general elections. The meeting reviewed the names of candidates for the reserved seats for women. The PMLN president also interviewed the women candidates for the reserved seats.
