PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has directed the relevant authorities to make Technical College Koza Banda in Battagram district functional to promote technical education and equip youth with skills.
The directives were issued by Special Assistant Muhammad Usman Khan Bettani during his visit to Battagram district.The CM aide also attended the inauguration ceremony for the upgradation of Government Polytechnic Institute Battagram, which was previously established as Government Skill Development Centre.
During the visit, the special assistant took notice of the college’s longstanding non-functional status and ordered its activation on an emergency basis. He directed the managing director to immediately deploy the required staff, following which staff was posted on the same day.
He also directed that computer labs, IT labs, essential equipment for various trades, and furniture be provided to the college on an emergency basis, so that youth in the area could receive better facilities for technical education and practical training.
Speaking on the occasion, Special Assistant Usman Bettani said that, in accordance with the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, detailed visits were being conducted to every district of the province to assess the issues faced by technical institutions on the spot and take immediate steps for their resolution.He said that technical education would be further strengthened and made more effective in every district.
