LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the 15-member squads for the upcoming DP World Women’s Asia Cup 2026 in Dubai and the 20th Asian Games women’s cricket tournament in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
Regular captain Fatima Sana returns to lead the side in both events after missing the Sri Lanka T20I series due to her participation in The Hundred.The DP World Women’s Asia Cup will be staged from 28 August to 13 September at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with all matches starting at 7:30 PM PKT. Pakistan are placed in Group A alongside India, Thailand, and Hong Kong – China, while Group B features Bangladesh, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and UAE.
The 20th Asian Games women’s cricket event will run from 17 to 22 September at Korogi Athletic Park, Aichi-Nagoya. Pakistan are seeded with Thailand and will face them in the quarter-final on 17 September. Other quarter-finals feature India vs Japan, Bangladesh vs China, and Sri Lanka vs Malaysia.
If Pakistan qualify, they will face either Sri Lanka or Malaysia in the semi-final on 20 September. The Bronze and Gold Medal matches are set for 22 September. Pakistan previously won Gold Medals in 2010 and 2014, but finished fourth in the 2022 edition.
Squad CompositionApart from skipper Fatima Sana, the squads include Muneeba Ali Siddiqui, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Ayesha Zafar, Gull Feroza, Saira Jabeen, Eyman Fatima, Eman Naseer, Umm-e-Hani, Tuba Hassan, Nashra Sundhu, and Momina Riasat for both tournaments. The squad for the Asian Games was submitted earlier in June.The Pakistan women’s team will assemble for a pre-tournament training camp at the National Cricket Academy, Lahore, from 16 to 25 August.
