Anjuman Musalmanan Kalyana organized the “Kalyana Community Convention 2026” last Sunday night at the Kalyana Community Center, located in Kalyana Town, Karachi. A large number of community members, including men, women, and youth, attended the convention.
The session was presided over by President Anjuman Kalyana Ishtiaq Baig, while the association’s Lifetime general secretary, Qayum Baig, was also present on the occasion. Welcoming the participants, Ishtiaq Baig said the association’s foremost priority is to upgrade the existing dispensary into a hospital to provide better healthcare facilities to the community.
During the convention, some dissatisfied participants demanded elections; however, the large gathering present at the venue categorically rejected the demand for community elections. Mirza Sobhan Baig, son of Shaheed Mirza Luqman Baig, who served as the stage secretary, presented a detailed report highlighting the establishment, objectives, evolution, and achievements of Anjuman Kalyana, as well as the milestones it has achieved over the years. The convention was aimed at promoting the development and preservation of the Kalyana community.
