A teenage boy was killed and two others seriously injured when the motorcycle they were riding crashed into a parked trailer in Mauripur on Wednesday.
According to Mauripur SHO Ansar Iqbal, the three boys, all under 18, were returning from Hawks Bay on an unregistered motorcycle when they lost control due to over speeding and rammed into a trailer parked near Gate No 6 of the Mauripur Truck Stand.
The deceased was identified as 16-year-old Anas, son of Imtiaz. The injured were identified as 17-year-old Anas and 16-year-old Farman. All three were residents of Sher Shah. According to Chhipa welfare officials, the victims were transported to the Civil Hospital, where the injured were receiving treatment. Police took the unregistered motorcycle into custody and launched an investigation. After completing the legal formalities, the body was handed over to the deceased’s family. Further investigation was under way.
