The Malir City police on Wednesday registered a murder case after a dismembered body was found stuffed in three bags and sacks in bushes near Bawan Shah Road.
The police said the victim, believed to be a man aged around 27, had not yet been identified. According to the FIR registered on behalf of the state, police were informed that three bags containing human remains had been found in bushes along the roadside.
A crime scene unit and an ambulance were called to the scene. The police found the victim’s head and upper body parts in one bag, the torso and hands in another, while the lower body and legs were found in the third bag.
The remains were shifted to Jinnah postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities, where an autopsy was conducted. The police suspect that the man was murdered at an unidentified location over an unknown dispute or motive and that his dismembered body was subsequently dumped at the site. The police have launched efforts to identify the victim and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder
