LAHORE:Partly cloudy and humid weather was witnessed in the city here on Wednesday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions during the next 24 hours.
The weather became pleasant but humid. According to data from the Meteorological Department, maximum temperature in the city was 42C while humidity was 48 per cent. The average AQI of the city was 157, which came in unhealthy category while the PM2.5 concentration was 12.3 times the World Health Organisation annual PM2.5 guideline value.
Met officials said seasonal low-pressure area lies over northeast Balochistan while weak monsoon currents were also penetrating in upper parts of country. They predicted that hot and humid weather was expected in most parts of the country.
However, rain-wind/thundershower may occur at isolated places in northeastern Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, and adjoining hilly areas during evening/night. Rainfall was observed in several cities.
