ISLAMABAD: Security forces killed five terrorists belonging to Fitna Al Hindustan during a high-tempo intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Panjgur district, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Tuesday.
According to the military’s media wing, the operation was conducted on August 10 as part of the ongoing counterterrorism campaign aimed at eliminating Indian-sponsored proxies and restoring lasting peace in the region.
Following the operation, the security forces recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices (IEDs) from the site and destroyed them, the ISPR said.
Sanitisation operations were subsequently carried out to eliminate any remaining threats in the area, it added.
The ISPR said the relentless counterterrorism campaign being conducted under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan, would continue at full pace.
The campaign by security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue to eliminate the menace of foreign-sponsored and foreign-supported terrorism from the country, the military’s media wing said.
