ISLAMABAD: The federal government has made several appointments, transfers and other administrative decisions in the bureaucracy.
The appointment of Muhammad Arif Tahseen as Deputy Secretary in National Food Security Division has been cancelled, and he has instead been appointed Deputy Secretary in Ministry of Human Rights.
Muhammad Hassan Abdullah Malik, a Grade-19 officer of Secretariat Group who was awaiting posting, has been posted to National Highway Authority (NHA).
Section Officer Uzma Naz Satti of Defence Division has been posted as Officer on Special Duty (OSD). Her study leave from August 13, 2026, to July 15, 2028, has also been approved.
Grade-18 Audit Officer Faisal Iqbal, who was posted in Establishment Division, has been transferred and his services have been repatriated to his parent department, Auditor General of Pakistan, Islamabad.
Syed Zawad Haider, who was awaiting posting in Establishment Division, has been appointed as Section Officer in the division.
The leave of Amberin Mazhar, Section Officer in Housing and Works Division, has been extended for another three months. She has been directed to report to Establishment Division upon completion of her leave on September 30, 2026.
Meanwhile, departmental penalty imposed on Grade-18 Pakistan Administrative Service officer Nauman Afzal Awan has been withdrawn. The penalty included a censure and withholding of one increment for two years.
The Establishment Division withdrew the penalty in light of Federal Service Tribunal’s decision dated April 13, 2026.
Suspended Section Officer Hammad Hassan has been reinstated in service.
Grade-17 Police Service officer Hamid Ehsan Waraich, who is posted with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, has been directed to report to Establishment Division. His study leave up to August 30, 2027, has also been approved.
Section Officer Nasreen Farhan of Establishment Division has been transferred to Housing and Works Division.
SSP Sameera Azam, a Grade-19 officer of Police Service currently posted with Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), has had her period of attachment with Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority extended until further orders.
