CHARSADDA: The district administration has launched a three-day cleanliness and plantation campaign in Tangi tehsil in connection with Independence Day celebrations.
Deputy Commissioner, Charsadda, Fazal Rahim Marwat formally inaugurated the campaign in Tangi, with Assistant Commissioner Nasir Abbas also present on the occasion.More than 150 personnel will participate in cleanliness operations across various markets of Tangi for three consecutive days. The district administration, with the cooperation of revenue officials, will also plant trees at different locations as part of the campaign.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the deputy commissioner said the primary objective of the initiative was to highlight the importance of cleanliness in society as part of Independence Day activities.
He said the campaign would also focus on clearing drains and waterways to reduce the risk of flooding and ensure precautionary measures ahead of potential monsoon-related emergencies.The deputy commissioner further said that thousands of saplings would be planted at various educational institutions and government offices across Tangi as part of the plantation drive.
