LAHORE: The Institute of Public Health (IPH) has successfully collaborated with the University of Bergen, Norway in the promotion of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) through international academic partnership, research and capacity building.
Under this important collaboration, two faculty members and four students of the IPH, Lahore have successfully completed specialised training in Norway. Both the students and faculty members acquired advanced knowledge and practical skills in the field of occupational safety and health. In this training, special attention was paid to the prevention, timely diagnosis and effective management of occupational lung diseases. Drawing on the skills and knowledge gained from this international educational and training experience, the trained faculty members and students have developed practical training programmes in occupational safety and health.
