City receives scattered rain; hot weather forecast

LAHORE:Scattered rain with partly cloudy and humid weather was witnessed in the City here on Monday while Met office predicted similar weather conditions during the next 24 hours.

The weather became pleasant but humid after the scattered rain. According to data from the Meteorological Department, maximum temperature in the city was 39°C while humidity was 41 per cent. The average AQI of the city was 166, which came in unhealthy category while the PM2.5 concentration was 13.9 times the World Health Organisation annual PM2.5 guideline value. Met officials said seasonal Low-pressure area lies over northeast Balochistan while weak monsoon currents were also penetrating in upper parts of country. They predicted that hot and humid weather was expected in most parts of the country.
