LAHORE:Police have recovered a four-month-old boy, Musa, who was allegedly kidnapped from Qazi Park area of Shahdara Town, and arrested four suspects involved in the incident.
According to police, a joint operation by the Operations Wing and Investigation Police of Shahdara Town led to the recovery of the child near the Kala Shah Kaku toll plaza.Police said the suspects were allegedly taking the infant to Gujrat when they were intercepted and arrested. The recovered child was safely handed over to his family. Further investigation into the incident is underway, police added.
Lahore Police has intensified its crackdown on proclaimed offenders (POs) involved in financial crimes, arresting 225 suspects during the current month and 6,458 over the past eight months.
According to a Lahore Police spokesperson, the arrested suspects included 4,298 POs wanted in cheque dishonour cases, 1,429 involved in criminal breach of trust cases and 731 accused in fraud cases.
Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana has directed investigation officers to ensure the prompt arrest of POs involved in financial crimes and expedite legal proceedings against them.
