LAHORE : A meeting of the Punjab University Admission Committee was held under the chairmanship of Pro Vice Chancellor and Committee Chairman Prof Dr Mahmood Saleem to review admission plans for the academic session 2026-27.
The meeting discussed measures to increase enrolment by 4,000 to 5,000 students in BS first and fifth semester programmes while ensuring academic standards and available institutional capacity.
Deans and heads of academic departments were directed to identify programmes and departments capable of accommodating additional students, subject to the availability of eligible applicants.
The committee also reviewed ongoing admission-related activities and discussed strategies to improve enrolment through effective utilisation of university resources.
Prof Dr Mahmood Saleem stressed the need for a well-planned admission process to maximise the university’s academic capacity and provide greater opportunities to prospective students.
