Rawalpindi : Police have launched an investigation following allegations by a foreign national that a local man sexually assaulted, physically abused, and robbed her after luring her to Pakistan under the pretext of marriage.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) registered at the Rawat Police Station, the complainant first met the suspect, identified as Amir Sohail, approximately two years ago in Bangkok. The woman stated that Sohail convinced her to travel to Pakistan after falsely promising to marry her.
The victim alleged that upon her arrival, the suspect forcibly confined her to an apartment roughly four months ago. During her captivity, Sohail reportedly subjected her to repeated sexual violence and physical abuse before abandoning the premises and stealing her financial savings.
