Rawalpindi : The Academic Council of Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) convened its fourth meeting under the chairpersonship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Tayyaba Zarif, marking a significant step forward in the institution’s academic and policy evolution, says a press release.
At the outset, council members extended their congratulations to the Vice Chancellor on assuming office.
The meeting witnessed active participation from both internal and external members, contributing to well-rounded deliberations and informed decision-making.
A central outcome of the session was the approval of revised curricula across multiple departments, aligned with contemporary academic requirements, higher education standards, and global benchmarks.
Updated vision and mission statements of various departments were also presented, reflecting a renewed institutional direction.
The Council endorsed a series of key policies aimed at strengthening academic, research, and administrative frameworks.
In a forward-looking move, the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across all academic programmes received in-principle approval, with the objective of equipping students with future-ready skills and enhancing their global competitiveness.
Special emphasis was placed on improving facilities for students with disabilities and undertaking phased upgradation of campus infrastructure to ensure an inclusive and accessible learning environment.
