LAHORE: The Pakistan women’s national cricket team will assemble for a training camp on August 16, with Lahore tipped as the likely venue, to prepare for the upcoming ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026.
According to sources, the camp will feature the same squad that recently toured Sri Lanka for a three-match T20I series, which concluded earlier this month with Pakistan losing 2-1. The only expected change is the return of captain Fatima Sana, who missed the Sri Lanka series due to her participation in The Hundred in England, which runs until August 16.
The Asia Cup 2026 will be staged in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from August 28 to September 13, featuring eight teams divided into two groups.
Group A comprises India (defending champions), Pakistan, Thailand, Hong Kong China while Group B has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Indonesia, UAE.
Pakistan will begin their campaign on September 1 against
Thailand, followed by the high-voltage clash against India on September 5, and their final group-stage fixture against Hong Kong China on September 7.
The tournament format requires each team to play all groupmates in the league stage, with the top two sides from each group advancing to the semi-finals on September 10 and 11. The final will be played on September 13.
