The Sindh government has appointed Prof Dr Khanji Harijan as pro vice chancellor of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Campus, Khairpur, for a term of four years.
According to a notification issued by the Universities and Boards Department on Friday, the appointment has been made by the chief minister of Sindh under Section 28-A(1) of the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro Act, 1977, as amended from time to time.
The notification states that Prof Dr Khanji Harijan will serve as pro vice chancellor of the Khairpur campus for a four-year tenure. Before his appointment, Prof Dr Khanji Harijan was serving as dean of the Faculty of Mechanical, Process and Earth Engineering at the MUET Jamshoro. He is regarded as an experienced academic and administrator in the engineering education sector.
